GiC, Chargetrip, Chargery, Mobileye, An Intel Company, GEIRI Europe, Hubject GmbH.

This year’s edition brought together international specialists from various industries such as energy, automotive or science and technology, for a series of discussions on the most innovative and smart solutions that will redefine the future of mobility.

The main purpose of the event was to discover and discuss the latest trends in the field of mobility, as well as to identify opportunities and synergies between different sectors, therefore encouraging the development of international partnerships.

This year, the discussions focused on topics such as autonomous automotive, the Connected Car concept, smart grids, connected electric charging systems and apps that facilitate the use of an electric car. The event also featured an expo area, that offered participants the chance to interact with some of the most recent products and services of the main players on the market:  Hubject, EnBw, Robert Bosch, Virta, Tago, NTT Data.

Among the speakers of the event were: Lior Sethon (Mobileye, o companie Intel), Thomas Nindl (Qualcomm CDMA Technologies), Elias Poyry (Vitra Ltd.), Thomas Daiber (Hubject), Oliver Koeth (NTT Data), as well as other international experts, that offered valuable insights on the main challenges and opportunities in the industry: John Rossant (LA CoMotion/NewCities), Itai Margalit (Starhome Mach), Kenneth Malmberg (Ridecell), Simon Hou (Xcharge).

Dr. Alexander Schuller, Product Marketing Electrification Audi AG presented a Plug & Charge solution that is going to be available on all Audi E-Tron cars, a solution that facilitates the access to public electric charging stations and allows the car to authorize the charging.

Virta Mobility also presented an inter-connectivity solution, that enables electric car drivers to identify the closest charging points, control the length of a charge and pay through different methods provided by the app.

Another innovative solution was brought by Qualcomm Techonologies. This solution involves charging electric vehicles in a wireless system, while driving, through embedded pads in the road. These pads transfer almost 11kW to the cars’ batteries, allowing continuous charging while driving and eliminating the need to stop the car and recharge.
