Ph.D. Eng. Claudiu Butacu, president of Solar Decatlon Bucharest, partnership responsible for EFdeN and co-founder energiaTa, is 27 years old and in the last three years he contributed to the EFdeN project, that consists of building a solar house that is energy independent. The project was highly awarded at a national and international level. Claudiu graduated from IEP (Institute of Energy Professionals) in 2015 and was certified ”Professional Energy Manager and from Romanian Green Building Council in 2015, with ”Green Building Profession”, Sustainability Manager (ECQA – Program LEAD SUS) and is a member of the Romanian National Committee of World Energy Council’s Board of Directors, being part of the Future Energy Leaders program. Moreover, at the end of the last year, Claudiu Butacu received the award ”Young Electrical Engineer of the Year at the Energy Awards gala.
