In 1997, I graduated the Polytechnic University of Bucharest with a degree in Aeronautical Engineering and started my professional career in DACAir, as a flight dispatcher.
Starting from 1999, I joined CARPATAIR, as head of the flight dispatch.
From this position, in October 2000, I joined to Romanian Civil Aeronautical Authority (RoCAA). Initially I was responsible with coordinating the implementation of the quality management system within RoCAA. In 2009, I changed my position, and my new tasks and responsibilities were the management of issues pertaining to national regulations – Annex I aircraft (airworthiness certifications of aircraft, approval of maintenance organizations), certification of welders and NDT operators, etc.
At the same time as, I was involved in various programs or working groups as follows:
2002 – Inspector in the “EU Ramp Inspection Program” (SAFA/ SACA – European Safety Program of the European Commission);
2010 – Member of the Association “UVS Romania” (Unmanned Vehicle System Romania) – Member of the Association “UVS International“;
2012 – Member of the Technical Committee (CTS) of the State Safety Program (SSP) Romania;
2014 – Coordinator of RoCAA (Focal Point) activities in relation to “Joint Authorities for Rulemaking on Unmanned Systems” (JARUS) and member of working group seven JARUS “Concept of Operation”;
2018 – Member of the Expert Group on Drones (E03533) / European Commission working group coordinated by the Directorate-General for Mobility and Transport of the European Commission (DG MOVE);
2019 – Coordinator of the RoCAA working groups in charge of analyzing and implementing the provisions of Regulations (EU) no. 1139/ 2018, 2019/ 945 and 2019/ 947.
